We did the Mount Kilimanjaro climbing machame Route for 7 days. We had an amazing experience on the mountain. The Spider Tours and Safaris team was great, caring, helpful and professional. Had an amazing experience climbing Kilimanjaro via the 7 day machame route with Spider Tours and Safaris. Our guide yusuph and the rest of the team were truly amazing and if it wasn't for their guidance, experience and care I don't think we would have all summit ed together. I felt completely safe in the knowledge that we were being looked after by such an experienced and knowledgeable guide. The food was also exceptional. If you're thinking of climbing Kilimanjaro I recommend Spider Tours and Safaris and the 7 day machame route.

Climbed Mount Kilimanjaro - Machame Route followed by a 5-day Safari with Spider Tours and Safaris. It was amazing and when I go back (which I will), I will definitely work with Spider Tours again. My boyfriend and I did the 7 day machame Kilimanjaro climb and 5 day safari with spider tours and safaris in july 2022. I had been dreaming about doing this trip for 3 years and I finally pulled the pin and decided to start planning. I was SO overwhelmed by the amount of tour companies and information out there especially for the Kilimanjaro hike. I am usually fairly carefree with who I book with but this trip I knew I wanted to spend the time and make sure I was going with a reputable and safe company while also not blowing my entire life savings. After about a month of researching I came across spider tours and safaris i and wow am I sure glad I did. From the beginning Brian was so helpful and very responsive to all my questions (and I had a lot). They really thought of everything and my entire trip I felt very well cared for and safe. The team of 11 that took us up the mountain were great, as well as the meals and all the gear. We made it safely to the summit while having a great time. The safari was no expectation, the food and accommodations were excellent. We did the mid-range and were very happy with all of our accommodations and had so much fun in the "clamping" tents. I really can not say anything but good things about spider tours and safaris. They fit in my budget (which was important to me because you can easily spend your entire life savings in Africa), the staff was wonderful, the food was great, the owner and office team was very helpful and attentive. Basically the sum of the story is book with spider tours and safaris, and you will not regret it. One thing to add: If you are doing the hike on the last day when they have the tipping ceremony, ALL tour companies (not just spider tours and safaris) will read out how much you tipped each person in front of the whole group while they all stare at you. Thankfully we did not cheap out on our tip but just a word of advice to budget for a large tip unless you want to be shamed in front of your entire team that just helped you climb a mountain. We found it quite an awkward experience, and we walked by multiple camps with other hikers from other companies having the same experience.

Climbing Kilimanjaro was the adventure of a lifetime thanks to Spider Tours and Safaris Our guide, frank, was incredible - he was friendly and knowledgeable (with over 450 summits and around 20 years experience) and thus comes highly recommended. Do yourself a favour. The company itself was transparent, trustworthy and attentive. They treat their staff well, and seem to be a powerful force for good in the community. The food on the mountain exceeded expectation and the tents and equipment are in decent shape as well. I would definitely advise; spending a longer time on the mountain for better acclimatization, packing an excess of waterproof items, getting a local sim card (there is decent signal at the majority of camps), and packing a variety of snacks. Uhuru peak is a reward for a worthy effort. Go for it!
